Happy (2nd) Retirement Carol

Carol Wiedemann is retiring from her second term at United Tile.  When times got tough and the economy dropped Carol came out of retirement to work in the showroom and where ever else we needed her. For 20 years Carol has been a source of laughter and curiosity.  With a kind heart and openness to new things, Carol has been a role model to us all.

We invite you to come to United Tile to give her your well wishes tomorrow Friday October 28.  She can still be reached at carolw@unitedtile.com if you cannot make it. She will be missed by us all.

Insight Programs a success!

Tim Bolby and Mikeal Jensen of Crossville

Thanks to all who attended the series of Insight programs last week presented by Crosville.  Mikeal Jensen gave a great talk on Tile Trends in our Industry and New Product Development – and Tim Bolby was extremely informative with his talk about Tile Technical Knowledge and Sustainability.  The programs were hosted at the Multnomah Athletic Club in Portland, our new showroom in Spokane, and the Palace Ballroom in Seattle.  Over 200 architects, designers and dealers attended and left with product, design, and technical knowledge to apply to projects using tile and stone as a wall or floor surface.  As one designer noted, “the program was excellent, and offered information beneficial to us on projects we are working on today”.

Great New Careers at UT!

We are looking for two new employees at United Tile to fill positions of people making transitions.  Our Credit Manager is retiring after many years of dedicated service. The our Director of Operations in Renton is making a job transition in our company. Speaking as someone who just celebrated her 5 year anniversary at United Tile, this is a wonderful company to work for. I have a career, not a job.

Check out the positions:

Credit Manager – Portland, Or.

Director of  Operations – Renton, Wa.
